Reesa’s Resources
The value to reading the Digital Equipment Corporate Culture Series, which currently sits in the Computer History Museum in MountainView, California, is to understand the history of the industry which built the Internet.
The three manuals are:
-
IBM – a research project which answered the question, “How much can you find out about a competitor if oyu just read public documents?”
-
Digital Equipment Corporation – a manual for new hires in a company where most people who stayed past 6 months stayed for a long time.
-
Herospeak – the story of the Digital VAX / VMS systems by those who actually built them.
